After Winning Big Brother Twice, Reggie Bird Wants to Write a Book
After making history as the first ever two-time winner of Big Brother Australia last night, Reggie Bird is now, of course, tired. Fair enough!
Chatting to POPSUGAR Australia over the phone the morning after her historic win, Bird said she was in the car on the way to pick up her children, daughter Mia, 15, and Lucas, 12, and, from there, it was time to fly home to Tassie.
“Hopefully I’ll get a window seat and crash! Not crash the plane, but crash out!” she laughed. “Oh God, oh! That’d be terrible, imagine that! Winning the bloody prize money and then crashing, oh God!”

“We won’t be doing too much tonight I reckon, an early night I think!” she said.
As for how the family are feeling, well, they couldn’t be more proud.
“The kids, they’re over the moon, they’re so happy, they’re so proud of what I’ve achieved, bless ‘em!” she said.
With the jam-packed press schedule that Bird’s had over the past few days, she said she hasn’t even had a chance to think about what she’ll be spending her $250,000 prize money on.
“I’ve got no idea!” she exclaimed. “I haven’t even thought about it.”
She added: “I’d definitely like to take the kids on a holiday, definitely. We’ll do something. I definitely need a holiday after all this!”
Still, the bulk of the money will, of course, be earmarked for “security and stability” for her and her children, to ensure they have a roof over their heads and that Lucas gets the medical care he needs, as he has cystic fibrosis.

With another season of Big Brother Australia done and dusted, we just had to know: What’s next for Reggie Bird, Australia’s sweetheart?
“I wanna write a book!” she exclaimed. “I said 19 years ago when I won Big Brother, the first thing I said was ‘I’m writing a book!’ and I didn’t do it, so [there’s] lots to tell now after two wins, yeah, I need to get onto that!
“Hopefully I’ll get to do some radio or another reality TV show,” she continued. “Throw me in Big Brother in the UK, who knows!”
