Chase will go head-to-head with one contestant, battling it out for a guaranteed spot in the highly sought-after top five and the last immunity pin of the season.
So, Who Is Chase Kojima?
Chase Kojima is a culinary maestro who has made a name for himself as one of Australia’s leading influencers in Japanese cuisine. His innovative approach and knack for surprising flavours have taken the culinary scene by storm.
He’s the Executive Chef at Sokyo, located in The Star Sydney, and Kiyomi, found at The Star Gold Coast. Both restaurants have gained a reputation for delivering extraordinary dining experiences that blend traditional Japanese techniques with exciting twists.
Before opening Sokyo in 2011 at just 29 years old, he spent years working with the legendary Nobu Matsuhisa. Chase’s time with Nobu took him around the world, from Las Vegas to Dubai, London, and Los Angeles. He finally concluded his globe-trotting adventure as the Executive Chef at Nobu Bahamas. It was there that Chase honed his skills and developed his unique palate, combining the best of traditional Japanese cuisine with his own imaginative twists.
But Chase’s passion for food started long before his professional career. Growing up in San Francisco, he had the privilege of learning from his father, Sachio Kojima, who owned the renowned Kabuto Sushi Restaurant. Drawing from his traditional training, combined with his American upbringing, Chase has crafted a distinct culinary style.
