The Bachelorette Australia 2021 is well and truly underway, and we can’t get enough!
We need to know every detail about every single contestant hoping to win Brooke Blurton’s heart, and today, we’re getting to know Ryan Carmichael.
Ryan’s a 29-year-old plumber from NSW with a passion for keeping in shape.
He loves the gym, loves his sport, and after undergoing a knee reconstruction following footy injury, it’s important to him that he keeps in shape.
Describing himself as “charismatic, caring, passionate, open‐minded, and fun”, Ryan’s perfect date would be to sky-dive in the day and then follow it up with a romantic dinner on a yacht.
Ryan describes himself as “family‐oriented, supportive, and protective of the ones I love”, and says that his strengths in a relationship lie in being “very accepting and understanding”.
So what’s Ryan looking for in his journey to love? He values “support, honesty… family values and a high EQ,” and says that his love language is physical touch.
Despite having had his heart broken in the past, Ryan would do anything for love, even if it meant “travelling across the other side of the world to find the love of his life”, according to his 10 Play profile.
Recently, though, a Bachette insider told the So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto podcast that Ryan had all the makings of a great reality TV villain, because of his confident, upfront attitude.
“Ryan is the drama-maker this season,” dished the insider. “He is very straight-up and brutally honest. He had no filter.”
“He had zero f**ks and just said whatever he felt on-camera… so they will probably turn him into the villain,” they added.
It wouldn’t be The Bachelorette without a villain, right? Still, drama or no drama, Brooke told POPSUGAR Australia that she “thoroughly enjoyed” her time as this year’s Bachelorette.
“I try not to go in with a lot of expectations with things, I think I did that with The Bachelor and even Bachelor In Paradise,” Brooke explained.
“I think this time around I was a little bit more determined and didn’t put too much pressure on myself,” she continued. “I just really wanted to throw myself and lean into the experience.
“I thoroughly enjoyed it, I loved every moment. Even though I couldn’t have my family there, production became my family. Overall it was amazing.”
We love to hear it!
The Bachelorette Australia airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm, on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
