“I Didn’t Feel Like My Journey Was Over”: The Bachelorette’s Luca on His Time With Brooke
The Bachelorette Australia is down to its final six contestants, which means last night, two people were sent home – Will and Luca. Unfortunately, Luca did not receive a rose despite his best efforts, ending his dream of spending life with the 26-year-old.
It’s getting tougher, and with Hometowns airing tonight, Brooke was left to decide between people who have captured her heart in one way or another. POPSUGAR Australia caught up with the P.E teacher and found out how he’s doing and who he thinks will be the last person standing.
POPSUGAR Australia: Tell us, what made you apply for The Bachelorette?
Luca Fraraccio: When it was announced Brooke will be The Bachelorette, I almost fell off my chair. She’s obviously super attractive, but we also share similar interests — we both like sport, we’re both quite independent and I manifested something big this year, so I thought just go for it! If it wasn’t Brooke, to be honest, I don’t think I would have wanted to do it as much but I was attracted to Brooke.
PS: Do you have any regrets about your time on the show? Would you do anything differently?
LF: No, my philosophy in life is to live life with no regrets. So there’s nothing that I regret doing. I went in and showed the best version of myself, and I know that there’s so much going on during the day that not everything gets seen. So everything that I did with Brooke and the people in the mansion, I wouldn’t change a thing. I made some really good connections with everyone and Brooke. Definitely no regrets.
PS: When you were eliminated how did you feel about Brooke at that point?
LF: My feelings for Brooke didn’t change. I was upset at the start because I was annoyed that Jamie-Lee and Millie were chosen, I thought I had a deeper connection with Brooke. But I quickly reminded myself that I’m not the one that has to date these people, it’s Brooke. So Brooke obviously sees a connection with the last six people that were left more than she did with me. So I just reminded myself that it’s Brooke’s love story, so if she sees more of a connection with other people then that’s fine. I showed the best version of myself and I walked away with my head held high.
PS: Were you surprised to find out your time was up or were you expecting it?
LF: No, I definitely wasn’t expecting it. I felt I had a deeper connection than some of the people in the mansion. But like I said, it’s Brooke’s love story and that’s fine. I didn’t feel like my journey was over but it was, so you have to take it as it comes and move on!
PS: Who do you think will be the last person standing?
LF: When I left that night, I couldn’t help but think of the chemistry Kurt and Holly had with Brooke. Kurt is a person that goes a bit under the radar, he has a very good connection with Brooke and he has a lot in common.
PS: Finally, what’s up next for you?
LF: For me, it’s back to work, back to training and back to my life on the Gold Coast. But, in terms of love, I’m single and I’m open to anything. If an opportunity presents itself, I’m not going to knock it back. I might find love on Bachelor in Paradise, might find love somewhere else, it can really happen at any time. I’m an open book.
