The Bachelorette’s Steve Knew His Days Were “Numbered” But He Has No Regrets
The competition is getting tougher on The Bachelorette as every episode passes, with fewer and fewer contestants left in the mansion. Brooke Blurton has two tough decisions to make, one is to decide who gets to live to see another day, and the other is who she’ll be sending home.
There are some clear front runners, such as Darvid and Holly, but unfortunately for the ones who weren’t able to build a connection with the 26-year-old, they were sent packing.
Last night, Steve and Taje didn’t receive a rose, which meant their time in the mansion was up. POPSUGAR Australia caught up with Steve to find out what’s up next for him and this is what he had to say.
POPSUGAR Australia: Tell us, what made you apply for The Bachelorette?
Steve Pliatsikas: Yeah, so I only applied because it was Brooke. I’ve seen a little bit of her over the years and was pretty interested in getting to know her, so as soon as I found out it was going to be Brooke I applied straight away. I’ve always really wanted to meet her, so that’s kind of what drew me to it.
PS: Do you have any regrets about your time on the show? Would you do anything differently?
SP: No, no regrets! I had an absolutely amazing, amazing experience. Met some great people so yeah no regrets. I remained true to myself and I didn’t try to put on an act or grab attention by being someone who I’m not so I was pretty happy with how it all went.
PS: How did you feel about Brooke when you left the mansion?
SP: I have nothing but good things to say about Brooke, she’s awesome and super cool. Anyone that ends up with her is very very lucky. So I hope she finds her true love and fairytale in this whole thing.
PS: Were you surprised to find out your time was up or were you expecting it?
SP: Yeah, I saw it coming. Brooke and I, our connection was only at the very surface level. Which was like very very friendly and nothing deeper at that point. I knew where she was with the other people in the house so it felt like my time was coming to an end. My days were numbered for sure.
PS: Who do you think will be the last person standing?
SP: I’m not too sure to be honest! I feel like she could do no wrong, she could pick anyone from all 20 of the cast and it’ll be a great choice. I feel like Brooke and Holly really hit it off, Brooke and Jamie-Lee are very very good together. Brooke and Darvid, they look good together as well, and Konrad is an absolute gem. So I would say any of those would be the ones to watch.
PS: Finally, what’s up next for you?
SP: I want to try and find my fairytale, I want to find my true love. And I guess that will be my focus in the coming months, just finding the right person for me. And then back to normal life and work.
