“I Kind of Saw it Coming”: The Bachelorette’s Will Sadler Chats About His Exit from the Show
The Bachelorette Australia is getting closer and closer to the finish line, with Brooke Blurton forming strong connections with the remaining contestants. And as she gets ready for Hometowns tonight, we can’t help but wonder which guy or gal will be the last person standing.
Last night, we said goodbye to Will and Luca, who were both vying for the 26-year-old’s heart. Will, who arrived as an intruder earlier in the season spoke to POPSUGAR Australia and revealed what’s next for him and who he thinks will win over Brooke in the end.
POPSUGAR Australia: Tell us, what made you apply for The Bachelorette?
Will Sadler: I saw Brooke on the Honey Badger season and I just kind of remember myself thinking, “She seems like such a down-to-earth and independent person” and we had lots of common interests — sports etc. And I thought she’s probably one of the only people I’d go on a show like that for and then when I saw The Bachelorette advertisement, I was like, “Why not?” I was thinking this two years ago so why not just give it a shot.
PS: Do you have any regrets about your time on the show? Would you do anything differently?
WS: Yeah, I think I would put myself out there a little bit more and just go for it. I can be a little bit shy and I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, but in that situation, you do have to take the opportunity and you do just have to go for it. Otherwise, you just get left by the wayside and you don’t end up leaving an impression. If I had any advice for anyone planning on going on the show it would be to just go for it. You’re in there for whoever is on next and that’s it, off you go. Still be respectful of everyone else but you need to really invest in that
PS: When you were eliminated how did you feel about Brooke at that point?
WS: I think it was probably the right choice. I was, of course, hopeful but I was looking around that night and she had some seriously strong connections there. I kind of saw it coming from then, so absolutely no hard feelings, and I’m so happy she’s getting closer to finding the right person.
PS: Were you surprised to find out your time was up or were you expecting it?
WS: You’re always hopeful that you’re going to get more time with Brooke, but at the same time, I was looking around and there were some seriously strong connections. While Brooke and I share a lot of common interests like sport, our love of wine and her general demeanour — we had a lot in common, but I just don’t think the chemistry was as strong compared to the other contestants.
PS: Who do you think will be the last person standing?
WS: That’s a tough call! I thought last night, Kurt and Holly had some really good date ideas at that cocktail party, and they just seem infatuated with each other. So I think it can be either one of those two.
PS: Finally, what’s up next for you?
WS: I don’t know! I’m just back at work, I got home to see my dogs that I missed dearly. I’m just going to cruise for a little bit, I think I’ve got some time off during the holidays. I think I’m going to take a road trip and then get back, reassess what I’m doing with my life and see if I want to make any big changes.
