A $189 collector’s edition comes with an artbook, pin set, steel poster, and SteelBook display case. The lack of a statue makes it more affordable than most collector’s editions, especially when Nintendo is also releasing a Link amiibo for the game. What Is the “Tears of the Kingdom” Release Date?

“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” is coming out on May 12 for Nintendo Switch.

Give Me the “Tears of the Kingdom” TL;DR

It’s the long-awaited sequel to “Breath of the Wild” which was a soft reboot of the Legend of Zelda series. (Or a secret prequel to the first ever Zelda game, if you believe this theory.) “BOTW” has been called one of the best RPGs ever made, alongside the likes of “The Witcher 3” and “Mass Effect 2”.

An amnesiac Link wakes up after being asleep for 100 years and finds the kingdom of Hyrule under threat by Calamity Ganon. With the help of a mysterious voice in his head, Link must venture into the kingdom to regain his memory, save princess Zelda, and put an end to Ganon’s dark reign. “TOTK” will pick up where “BOTW” left off. Link will have new abilities and weapons as well as a big new world to explore, both above and below the ground of Hyrule.
