A brand new addition to the D23 expo, the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase will give an update on Disney’s upcoming video games, including the fairytale life-sim Disney Dreamlight Valley and a sneak peek at Amy Hennig’s ensemble superhero game.
Disney is promising “incredible new content” from Marvel Games, including announcements and reveals for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the team-based tactical RPG that’s now coming out in early 2023. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will also be there, presumably to announce DLC.
There are lots of Marvel and Disney games in development, so there are lots we might see during the showcase. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PS5 next year (and hopefully PC soon after), and Marvel Snap is a free-to-play collectible card game from some of the Hearthstone creators.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is also scheduled to come out in 2023, as is Star Wars: Hunters, a team-based multiplayer game for Nintendo Switch and mobile. Ubisoft is also making an open-world Star Wars game that we don’t know much about yet. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about all of these at the showcase.
