1. Jimmy Chooses His Forever Girl on The Bachelor 2021

After meeting 23 women, countless dates, a fair bit of snogging and a healthy dose of drama, it was time for Jimmy Nicholson (the pilot, in case you forgot) to pick the lady he saw his future with.

It came down to sweet but clingy Brooke Cleal and sassy and independent Holly Kingston, with the three flying to the stunning Simpson’s Gap for the finale.

Ultimately, it was Holly who had Jimmy’s heart and the two are still going strong and planning to move in together in the near future.

2. We Remembered a Legend

In sad news, August 28 marked a year since the world lost actor Chadwick Boseman to colon cancer at the age of just 43.

The Black Panther star was remembered by his friends in the film industry honouring his memory with heartfelt social media posts.

While co-star Lupita Nyong’o shared a rare photo of them laughing during press for their Marvel film, Michael B. Jordan posted a photo of them hugging at an event. “Not a day goes by bro . . . Love and miss you but I know you still with us,” he wrote.

3. Drake is a Certified Lover Boy

This week we got the fantastic news that Drake’s sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy debuts on Sept. 3

Even more fantastic was Drizzy’s mum’s reaction to the impending new release, with the sweet matriarch sending the “In My Feelings” singer bunches of flowers and handwritten notes to countdown to the release.

“Three more days we’re counting down / For us to hear the best / Everyone’s excited / ‘Cause you’re nothing like the rest,” she wrote in one note, making us all wish that she was our Mum too.

4. The Block Had Us Shocked

In local news, over on The Block: Fans vs Faves, Ronnie and Georgia accused twins Luke and Josh of cheating, claiming they had a photo of the entire production schedule…which they did.

This, of course, gave them a huge and unfair advantage against the other competitors and s**t really hit the fan.

While the boys were in possession of the photo, it was revealed they had actually received it from fellow contestants Tanya and Vito, who claim an unknown tradie had sent it to them.

Tanya took to Instagram to address her and Vito’s misstep, saying that it was not a proud moment.

5. Season Three of 'You' Is Dropping Soon

The Penn Badgely shaped hole in your life will soon be filled once more as the third season of You is set to drop on Netflix in October.

On Aug. 30, the streaming platform released a bloody teaser with a message about Joe (Penn Badgley) and Love’s (Victoria Pedretti) future son, whom Joe has decided to name Henry.

While we don’t know much in the way of plot details yet if the series closely follows the books it is based on season three could revolve around Joe’s new life in the Pacific Northwest after he becomes a father and is forced to leave his son behind with the Quinn family.

As he begins to settle into life in the small town of Bainbridge, it doesn’t take very long for him to fall in love with a new woman named Mary Kay DiMarco…and we know how that will probably turn out.
