While we won’t get to see Shiv Roy’s baby enter the world, a very special member of the “Succession” family has arrived – and mom Sarah Snook just shared the news in a subtle and sweet way. Snook revealed that she gave birth to her first child while celebrating the dramatic conclusion of the hit HBO series on May 28.
Alongside a lengthy message about the series finale, Snook posted a photo of the top of the baby’s head on Instagram on May 29. Snook, who shares the child with husband Dave Lawson, revealed her pregnancy at “Succession”‘s season four premiere back in March. At the time, she told reporters that she had around “two months” to go. Snook’s pregnancy was written into the show, as her character Shiv learned she was expecting a baby with her on-again-off-again husband Tom Wambsgans.
In her Instagram post, Snook said that it is “hard to express what this show has meant to me.” She wrote, “To have been blessed to join this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top. I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it and excelled, in every department. The friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one liners, the early mornings, the last minute changes, all the highs and lows: I’m going to miss it all.” She added in conclusion, “I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support.”
Though the Roy siblings were ultimately shut out of Waystar Royco’s top seat, Snook obviously has much to celebrate in her own new role.
