Margot Robbie is not here to play this red carpet season. Fresh from the Golden Globes, where she wore a pink halterneck Chanel dress, the actor pulled out all the stops for the London premiere of “Babylon“. Wearing a dramatic red Valentino gown that flowed effortlessly to the floor, Robbie paired the bold dress with a sweep of red lipstick that oozed Hollywood glamour.
The gown was not only beautiful from the front, with its soft pleating and floaty silhouette, but when Robbie turned around, it was clear the ensemble featured halterneck detail to reveal the scooped backless design. Styled by Kate Young, Robbie’s red hot look was straight from the spring / summer 2023 Valentino runway. Accessories were kept to a minimum to let the dress work its magic.
It wasn’t just the glamour of the gown that impressed, but Robbie’s hair and makeup was the perfect way to accompany the swathes of fabric. Hair stylist Bryce Scarlett tied her blonde hair into a low ponytail that was twisted up to form an “undone bun”, while soft waves were added to the front face-framing sections. Makeup artist Pati Dubroff ensured all eyes were on Robbie’s bold red lips to match her dress, with simple mascara on the eyes and soft blush on her cheeks.
Robbie posed alongside her friend, and fellow cast member, Brad Pitt, who also looked achingly cool on the red carpet. Wearing a grey checked suit and open collared grey shirt, Pitt beamed as he greeted his pal for the UK premiere. The actor’s, who first appeared together in 2015’s “The Big Short”, are expected to make a few more appearances together after “Babylon” received nominations for the upcoming Critics’ Choice Awards and the SAG Awards.
Robbie, who is likely to have a standout 2023 with her upcoming performance in “Barbie” released this summer, stuck to the ravishing red theme of the evening as she changed into a red leather suit after the premiere. Wearing a red oversized double-breasted blazer with cropped trousers, the suit proved co-ords are here to stay. She added burgundy platform boots that matched a burgundy top to bring the whole outfit together. See all angles of Robbie’s London looks ahead.
