From Airwaves to the Jungle: Radio Host Woody Whitelaw Joins “I’m a Celeb”
Hold onto your hats, folks, because it’s time for another season of “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”
Season 9 is finally here, and it’s already delivering the laughs and chaos that we all know and love.
After two seasons of being forced to film in northern New South Wales due to COVID, the borders are finally open, and we’re coming to you live from the South African jungle. And of course, we couldn’t have “I’m a Celeb” without our dynamic duo, Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown, who are back to host the madness.
And if you’re tuning in and thinking, ‘Wait, who are these people?’ don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’ll give you the lowdown on each celeb, what they’re known for, where you’ve seen them before, and what charity they’re competing for. Get ready for another wild ride!
Woody Whitelaw
Woody Whitelaw has been a radio sensation since way back in 2012. He first began his career hosting the national weekend breakfast show on the HIT network alongside his schoolmate, Will McMahon. After a few years of taking the radio world by storm, they moved to Perth to host 92.9FM’s breakfast show with Heidi Anderson.
Fast forward a few more years, Woody decided to make his way back to his hometown and join the KIIS Network’s drive show alongside his partner in crime, Will. And boy, was it a success! Will & Woody’s first year on KIIS was a total hit, topping the ratings in Sydney and Adelaide. And their online fanbase? It’s growing like crazy, thanks to their hilarious comedy sketches.
They even co-hosted “Australian Ninja Warrior” in 2022 and were fan favourites on “Celebrity Apprentice Australia”. Their 2015 comedy sketch show, “The Naked Truth,” was a total sell-out with rave reviews at both the Perth Fringe Festival and the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
When Woody isn’t making us laugh on KIIS, he’s making appearances on The Project and performing stand-up comedy gigs across the country.
“I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” airs at 7.30pm, Sunday – Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
