The series, which starts on January 3, dropped a new teaser telling us to expect the unexpected when the new group of celebs enter the jungle. While they’re keeping quiet about the details, they did say there will be a “mystery celebrity twist” in the first week of the show.
“We can tell you, we’ve never done anything like this before,” said hosts Chris Brown and Julia Morris during the short clip.
While we don’t know much about the upcoming season, which is pretty standard when it comes to I’m a Celeb, we have been given a few clues as to who will be heading into the jungle.
So far an Olympian, a country singer, an AFL player, a celebrity chef, an international reality star, and a comedian will be part of the cast flown into the NSW town of Murwillumbah in the hopes to win money for their chosen charity.
Last year, influencer and former Bachelor contestant Abbie Chatfield came out as queen of the jungle, winning $100,000 for Dementia Australia in honour of her grandmother who passed away in 2020.
“I can’t believe it, me doing this, everything was for Grandma. I’m so so happy and really grateful I could do it for her,” she told MediaWeek after her win.
I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! will premiere on January 3, 2022, on Channel 10 and 10play.
