Aussie Swifties, our time has almost come and we are STRESSED! Taylor Swift‘s Eras tour is finally making its way Down Under. But let’s face it, snagging those tickets won’t be a piece of cake. And judging from the first American Express presale — which was limited to AMEX customers willing to pay top dollar for the two priciest VIP packages — anything could happen. Due to the insane demand and limited availability of tickets, Swifties crashed the AMEX site for more than an hour yesterday.
It goes without saying that you’ll need a game plan. Luckily, we’ve got the juicy details and insider tips to help you secure your spot at Taylor Swift’s Australia Eras Tour. Ticketek has shared tips on how fans can give themselves their best chance at securing entry.
How to Get Taylor Swift Australia Eras Tour Tickets
Taylor’s Eras tour kicks off at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February 2024. She will then travel to Sydney for three shows at Accor Stadium Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you’re prepared for the pre-sale. Frontier members will get access to pre-sale tickets ahead of the general public. The presale kicks off on Wednesday, June 28. Tickets for the Sydney shows will go on sale at 10am AEST, and tickets for the Melbourne shows on sale at 2pm AEST.
Pre-sale tickets and VIP packages will be available to purchase through Ticketek. However, you will need a pre-sale code. To get this, you must register as a Frontier Member on frontiertouring.com.
General ticket sales for the five Australian shows will begin this Friday, June 30. Again, the Sydney tickets will be available from 10am local time, with Melbourne on sale from 2pm.
Do Not Refresh Your Browser
To maximise your chances of success, it’s crucial to remember a few key points. First and foremost, once you’re in the Ticketek Lounge, resist the temptation to leave the page or refresh your browser. The page will automatically refresh at regular intervals to accommodate more fans and allow them to make their purchases.
“Queuing is a necessary part of the purchasing process. A way of ensuring fair access to tickets for all fans,” a Ticketek spokesperson said. “The page will refresh itself frequently to let more fans through to purchase. Once fans are in the Lounge, they should sit tight and wait to be let through to the event page.”
Make Sure You Have All Your Details Ready
Ticketek emphasised the importance of ensuring your Ticketek account and payment details are up to date. They advised, “Double check your Ticketek account and payment details are up to date. Have your login details handy as you’ll need them to complete your purchase.”
By verifying and updating your account and payment details in advance, you’ll streamline the ticket-buying process and minimise any potential obstacles.
Watch That Timer!
Once you’ve successfully made it through, it’s time to stay focused and keep a close watch on the timer. It’s crucial to complete your purchase within the designated time frame, otherwise your session will be timed out and you will lose any tickets you had in your cart.
This might sound like a no-brainer, however, once the adrenaline of securing tickets kicks in, it can easily happen.
And remember, Ticketek is the only authorised ticket seller for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour in Australia. Don’t be tempted by scalpers!
