Ritu Didn't Get a Rose

As this year’s Bachelorette Brooke Blurton continues her search for true love, she has the difficult task of sending people home each week.

Sadly, for Ritu, her journey on The Bachelorette 2021 came to an end this week as she did not receive a rose.

Ritu chatted to POPSUGAR Australia about her time on the show, and how, at times, she felt tokenised as she is both Queer and South Asian.

“On normal television, I don’t really see representation of queer South Asian people. It’s such a rarity in television, and needs a bit more public normalisation because it actually exists,” she told POPSUGAR Australia. “I’ve met a lot of Indian people who are queer but are very much boxed in.”

What's the Buzz?

Disney gave us the first little sneak peek of its upcoming film Lightyear this week, with the film exploring the origin story of Buzz Lightyear of Toy Story fame.

In the sci-fi adventure, the young Buzz is voiced by Chris Evans, who is no stranger to Disney following his long run as Captain America.

“The phrase ‘a dream come true’ gets thrown around a lot, but I’ve never meant it more in my life,” Evans said of taking on the role.

Tyler, who was best known for his role as Central Perk manager Gunther on Friends, passed away peacefully at home, according to his manager.

“The world knew him as Gunther (the seventh Friend)… but Michael’s loved ones knew him as an actor, musician, cancer-awareness advocate, and loving husband”, his manager said in his statement.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik reportedly broke upPeople confirmed on Thursday US time.

“They are not together right now. They are both good parents though,” a friend of the Hadid family told the publication. “They co-parent. Yolanda [Hadid] is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild.”
