Sophie Blackley — one of the leading ladies on “FBOY Island Australia” — surprised everyone when she chose Joshy, a self-proclaimed “FBoy,” in the finale. Despite his “FBoy” status, Joshy chose to split the money with Sophie at the finale. Things were looking hopeful, and the pair left the show as a couple. Since the show finished filming, though, they’ve decided to hit pause on their romance.
Just to recap, Sophie — along with Molly O’Halloran and Ziara Rae — had to navigate through a maze of 24 men. Half of these men were “Nice Guys” genuinely searching for true love, while the other half were “FBoys” solely interested in winning the $50,000 cash prize.
Although their romantic endeavour didn’t work out in the long run, Sophie and Joshy learned valuable lessons from their experience on “FBoy Island.”
Reflecting on her experience, Sophie acknowledged that she had held certain expectations and preconceptions about men and their intentions.

“I felt like I had a wall up for a very long time and kind of had an expectation on men at this age with what they want and their intentions,” she told POPSUGAR Australia.
“FBOY Island” Changed Sophie’s Outlook on Men
Sophie went on to say that her time on the show challenged these beliefs, and allowed her to see men in a different light. She noted that Josh, along with some other contestants, played a significant role in changing her perspective.
“[They] made me see men in a different light. And that they can just be there as friends, they can just have your back and have pure, good intentions,” she explained. “I am really lucky to have seen that. I have a different outlook now, which is really good.”
Josh, on the other hand, didn’t have many expectations going into the show as a self-proclaimed “FBoy”.
“When I was actually coming onto the show, I wasn’t really thinking I was gonna come for money,” he admitted. “I was just like, ‘I don’t know what to expect’. I’d been single for a while too, so I [wanted to] have a bit of fun.”

While Sophie and Josh have decided not to pursue a romantic relationship after the show, the pair remain good friends. They both agree that preserving their bond and taking time to explore other aspects of their connection is the right choice.
“Coming off the show and having a bond like that, you don’t want to ruin it, and I think that we have a lot of good times ahead without needing to be in that relationship right now,” Sophie said.
