The cast of the highly-anticipated “Don’t Worry Darling” film have descended upon the Venice Film Festival as couple Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde promote their film together for the first time. Joined by actors Chris Pine and Gemma Chan on 5 Sept., the four oozed glamour for the photo call and press conference, although fellow castmate Florence Pugh was noticeably absent from the film reunion.
Wilde looked effortlessly chic wearing a green bouclé co-ord made up of a boxy jacket and buttoned midi skirt with oversize pockets. She teamed the matching suit with a simple black bralet, black knee-high boots, and her signature black winged eyeliner. Styles, who is dating Wilde, chose an appropriate sailor-themed ensemble as he arrived separately by boat. The navy turn-up flared trousers, cream pinstriped blazer, and silk scarf he chose are all from his “Ha Ha Ha” fashion collaboration with Gucci, available from mid-October. This Venice Film Festival appearance marks the first time the pair have shared a red carpet since they started dating.
Pine also took the nautical colour palette literally by arriving for the photo call in a cream shirt, navy blazer, red cropped trousers, and tan loafers. Fellow castmate Chan also turned heads in wide-leg gold cargo trousers, embellished ruffled crop top, and gold capped heels.
Fans were quick to notice that Florence Pugh, who plays the lead role of Alice in the film, was missing from the press call. As rumours swirl that there had been pay-disparity friction amongst the cast, Pugh’s absence was immediately justified as her flight from Budapest, where she is currently filming “Dune: Part II”, was always going to arrive later in the afternoon. She was spotted in Venice wearing a three-piece purple shorts, crop top, shirt combination with matching purple heeled sandals. She is expected to joining the rest of the “Don’t Worry Darling” cast on the red carpet on the evening of 5 Sept.
