We were introduced to the lovable Daniel Lamble on the very first episode of MasterChef Australia: Fans & Favourites, and we’re already itching to see more of him on screen.
The middle of three boys, Lamble was raised in a tight-knit family and considers them to be the most important part of his life, along with his partner of seven years, Kassie.
Growing up in Katherine, Northern Territory, his childhood was mostly comprised of fishing and camping in the stunning bushland. At the age of 13, Daniel and his family relocated to Darwin, and while it was a huge culture shock, he made many life-long friends.
After completing high school, Daniel worked in the mines as a FIFO worker for three years before becoming a firefighter. Responsible for making lunch and dinner for his colleagues at the fire station, Daniel gives his dad credit for teaching him the basics.
He quickly fell in love with the art of cooking and polished up his skills by watching YouTube videos and television cooking shows. With Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal and Josh Niland as his culinary idols, Daniel is most definitely going to be a star in the MasterChef kitchen.
His favourite dishes to plate up are Asian flavoured soups and enjoys using smoke and coal when cooking. While he admits to not knowing much about desserts, Daniel is relying on his strength as a savoury cook to get him through to Finals Week.
MasterChef Australia: Fans & Favourites airs at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10 Play On Demand.
