How to Watch This Week’s Nintendo Direct In Australia
The first Nintendo Direct of the year is taking place this week, and it’s going to be a 40-minute stream all about Switch games launching in the first half of 2023.
Fans are hoping we’ll finally see gameplay from “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”. The May 12 release date is fast approaching and we’ve still only seen snippets from Nintendo’s most anticipated game, so this would be a great moment to drop a new trailer or a chunky gameplay video.
The rest of the Nintendo 2023 release schedule is looking pretty good, too. The Switch remake of “Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe”, the magical Stardew Valley-like “Fae Farm”, the gorgeous storybook prequel “Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon”, the high-definition 2D strategy game “Octopath Traveler II”, and the highly-anticipated “Pikmin 4” are all due out in the next few months, so any of them could make an appearance in the Direct. We’re also waiting for a Switch release date for “Marvel’s Midnight Suns” and “Outer Wilds”.
With this Nintendo Direct focusing on Switch games, it’s unlikely we’ll hear anything about “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”. Then again, the announcement does say “mostly” focused on games, so nothing’s off-limits at this point.
As with all Directs, this one is kicking off here at a different time than what’s on the announcement. Here’s how to watch the February Nintendo Direct in Australia.
