The New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tracks Are Available Right Now
After rumours began swirling last month, Nintendo has officially announced the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass wave 2 release date, and today!
From today, we can rev our engines on eight new tracks, including iconic ones from Mario Kart history, like Waluigi Pinball and all-new courses making their grand debut.
The Booster Course Pass wave 2 adds the Turnip Cup and the Propeller Cup, each with four tracks. Here’s the full list of tracks being added in the new DLC:
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Turnip Cup
- New York Minute (Mario Kart Tour)
- Mario Circuit 3 (Super Mario Kart)
- Kalimari Desert (Mario Kart 64)
- Waluigi Pinball (Mario Kart DS)
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Propeller Cup
- Sydney Sprint (Mario Kart Tour)
- Snow Land (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)
- Mushroom Gorge (Mario Kart Wii)
- Sky-High Sundae (New)
Sydney Sprint is particularly exciting because it’s set in Australia! The track starts in Circular Quay and cuts through the middle of the Sydney Opera House before passing through Luna Park and crossing the Harbour Bridge. Points to Nintendo for choosing something a more original setting than the dusty outback for its Australian course.
Sky-High Sundae is also a welcome addition — it’s the only new course added in the new Booster Course Pass DLC so far. Here’s how Nintendo describes it: “The competition may heat up, but that doesn’t mean you can’t chill out in this sweet race, which is filled with larger-than-life desserts at nearly every turn. Prove you’re number one under the sun(dae) in this debut course!”
The Australian release date for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass wave 2 is Friday, August 5 and it will be available for everyone who’s purchased the $24.99 Booster Course Pass on the Nintendo eShop. You’ll also be able to download it at no additional cost if you have a paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
