Ever since watching The Devil Wears Prada in my early teen years, I’ve been convinced that a good pair of sunglasses has the power to make you look like a fashion mogul, wherever you go. They’re also a necessary summer accessory.
Thankfully, we never have to worry about being without gorgeous sunglasses and now, we can marvel in the beauty of Australian design, sustainability and that imperative fashion flourish with a capsule collection by Local Supply x Aje.
Premium, sustainable eyewear label, Local Supply has collaborated with iconic Australian design duo, Aje for an exclusive capsule collection of eyewear to complement the Aje Resort 22 Collection ‘Scent of Summer’.
The collection brings classic shapes and styles into a modern world, with a focus on boldness, quality and colour.
Local Supply is a leader of sustainability in the Australian eyewear market, producing design-driven frames, manufactured sustainably and ethically using only plant-based materials. It is this innovation of the brand that caught the eye of Aje, and the two brands collaborated earlier this year, before officially debuting the collection at this year’s Australian Afterpay Fashion Week.
The capsule collection of eyewear, by Local Supply, collaborating with Aje, consists of three styles of frame: ‘The Catfarer’, ‘The Cat Eye’ and ‘The Square’. Each style compliments the overall aesthetic of Aje’s Scent of Summer collection with the bold cat eye detailing and oversized square frame, both a nod to the ’60s and ’70s eyewear trends.
Each frame is available in a muted Rosy Pink, Tortoiseshell, Off White or Black, the perfect colourways to elevate any summer wardrobe by adding a statement colour or a monochromatic, chic staple.
