Shut the front door, because Sam Frost has made a huge announcement! She recently revealed that she’s engaged to boyfriend and Australian Survivor star Jordie Hansen after just five months of dating.
Giddy with joy, Frost dropped the bombshell on her podcast on Thursday, saying Jordie proposed back in May while the two were on a trip to the Northern Territory together.
“It is a very important time of our lives; we recently got engaged and to celebrate, we thought we would go on a 14-day road trip,” she revealed.
Jordie reportedly got down on one knee during a visit to Uluru, and of course, Sam said yes.
The Home and Away actress was spotted out and about in June wearing a huge rock on her finger, which naturally sparked engagement rumours. However, the pair decided to keep quiet about it until now.
“We have taken the next step and it’s nice,” Frost told the Herald Sun at the time, although she didn’t mention any engagement or marriage plans.
“I feel so happy and being able to travel again is great … it’s going well. I’m happy being in Melbourne.”
The two first crossed paths thanks to Frost’s brother Alex, who Hansen competed alongside on Australian Survivor: Blood Vs Water. However, he wasn’t too happy with the idea of the two dating at first.
“I called my brother up and I said, ‘so, is he single or what?’ He’s like ‘oh, don’t be weird … that’s so embarrassing’,” the actress told Nova FM’s Fitzy and Wippa in March.
The rest is history. The two are seen sharing sweet tributes on Instagram on the regular and have celebrated a ton of milestones together.
“Funniest human I’ve ever met. Thank you for making me so happy, I’m a very lucky woman xx,” wrote Frost.
Jordie made his own feelings clear, saying: “Every day with her is an adventure and an exploration to see just how much juice we can suck out of life.
“You continue to inspire me and excite me more and more everyday and make me a better man.”
