This Isn’t Real Housewives of Sydney! Melissa Tkautz is Taking a Crack at SAS Australia
The countdown to SAS Australia is on, and Channel 7 have been slowly giving us previews into what we can expect in the upcoming season. One of the celebrity contestants this year is pop star Melissa Tkautz, who is seen breaking down in the latest preview for the show.
Visibly distraught ahead of an enormously challenging task, Melissa refuses to participate.
“I don’t want to do it,” Melissa says. “I’m going to be sick. I’m so scared.”
Her decision is followed by Chief Instructor Ant Middleton attempting to motivate her, saying: “People are saying you won’t last two minutes. Do you want to prove them wrong or prove them right that you’ve just faced your biggest fear?”
The 47-year-old actress and singer, who is best known for her role on E-Street and ’90s smash hit song Read My Lips, is the oldest female recruit this season.
“What if I make it to the bloody end,” she says. “It would be life-changing and a strength that you will have forever.”
Tkautz is one of 17 Aussie celebs embarking on a life-altering experience, where former SAS soldiers subject them to physical and psychological tests from the real SAS selection process.
Completely cut off from the outside world, the famous personalities will be stripped of their plushy lifestyles and will be required to eat, sleep and train together in tough conditions.
Returning to guide the recruits is Chief Instructor Ant Middleton and Directing Staff Ollie Ollerton. Joining them for the very first time will be retired US Navy SEAL Clint Emerson and former British Special Forces soldier Dean Stott.
SAS Australia premieres in February on Channel 7 and 7plus.
