For those who need a reminder, Ben’s best man speech at Sara and Tim’s wedding was dubbed the “worst best man speech of all time”. With a parting line that left wedding guests in stunned silence — “Sara, you can find solace in the fact… rancid or not, Tim will still eat you” — Ben made quite the impression. Now, he’s back and armed with a fresh arsenal of digs aimed at his mate’s new wife.

According to Ben, he’s been catching wind of the ups and downs in Tim and Sara’s journey. But his attempts at lightening the mood just aren’t hitting the mark with Sara. He even tells her to “relax”, which, if you watched their honeymoon, you’d know is a big no-no. So, you can imagine Sara is feeling more than a little put off by his jokes.

“He just feels a bit childish. It’s just inappropriate, you’ve come here to discuss our relationship, take it seriously,” Sara tells the producers, clearly not amused by Ben’s antics.

But fear not, because Tim’s not about to let his buddy’s banter ruin the vibe. He steps in to defend Sara and their relationship, showing just how solid their bond has become.

Ellie and Ben Reach Breaking Point

Okay, let’s talk about Ellie and Ben — or should I say, the couple we barely even knew was still in the experiment until tonight? Every time they pop up, it’s like watching a comedy act gone wrong. But tonight? Tonight takes the cake.

After the last Commitment Ceremony, Ben decided to ‘Stay’ while Ellie was ready to throw in the towel. And you know what the experts say to Ben? “You’ve got seven days to turn things around”. But instead of facing the music, what does Ben do? He pulls a disappearing act, leaving Ellie high and dry. Smooth move, buddy.

But surprise, surprise — Ben finally resurfaces, armed with a guitar and a heartfelt song for Ellie. And just when you think he’s making up for lost time, he hits her with a two-hour lecture on everything he doesn’t like about their relationship.

In the end, Ellie’s had enough. She tells the producers she’d rather be flying solo than deal with Ben’s drama any longer. And honestly, who can blame her?
