Farmer Wants a Wife: Could Jess Be the Future Mrs Farmer Will?

Farmer Wants a Wife is finally back, and we’re in full swing over here getting to know all the lucky ladies — and a few lucky men! — who are competing for the hearts of our farmers this season.

Farmer Paige is the very first female farmer the show’s ever had, and she’s on the hunt for a hubby, but our other four farmers — Farmer Ben, Farmer Benjamin, Farmer Harry and Farmer Will — make up the rest of the cast who are looking for love.

One of the women who’s hoping to get wifed up by Farmer Will this year is Jess, a 25-year-old dental nurse from Queensland.

After having her heart broken “recently”, Jess shared in a press statement that she was “ready to throw [herself] into something uncomfortable”. Not only is she hoping to find love with Farmer Will, but Jess also wants to find herself “a little more” in the process of putting herself out there.

Having grown up on a farm, herself, Jess is no stranger to the realities of country living, which might give her an edge over the other ladies hoping to win Farmer Will’s heart.

“My parents own an 800-acre property which I often visit and help out taking horses for rides,” she said, adding: “I would love to give my children the same kind of farming and country life that I had.”

Jess was initially drawn to Farmer Will because, well, he’s “pretty good looking”.

“He has nice dark features, which my nonna would approve of,” she added.

Of course, that wasn’t the only reason she applied for the series.

“I can just tell by watching his video, we would vibe and have a good time,” she said. “I’m bubbly, I’m up for trying new things and I love my sisters just like he does.”

In relationships, Jess believes that “good support, loyalty and communication” are the most important factors for a strong foundation.

Rather than grand romantic gestures, Jess said that “keeping it simple is key” with her.

“Just a little picnic somewhere with a nice view, my favourite foods and a cold beer,” is the vibe for Jess. “I’ve been in the wrong relationships in the past and am ready to find a nice guy.”

Will Jess and Farmer Will hit it off? There’s only one way to find out, and that’s to keep up with Farmer as it unfolds.

Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7.00pm on Sundays, and 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus.
