Give Your Kids an Experience to Remember With These 15 Spring Break Camps

PCH Skate Camp offers youth ages 5 to 15 various skateboarding programs in Manhattan Beach, outside of Los Angeles, CA. Whether your kid is a beginner or looking to perfect their ollie, they’ll learn the necessary skills to totally shred. Coaches are experienced skateboarders who are certified in both First Aid and CPR Training.

Price: Full day camp (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.), $350 for 5 days; half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.), $250 for 5 days.

Spring Break Camp at Lincoln Park Zoo provides campers from pre k to 4th grade with exciting opportunity to explore the zoo. This year’s theme is African Safari – though each day is focused on a different aspect of the vast continent, so kids will get age-appropriate chances to learn about all sorts of different critters.

Price: Full day program (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.), $70 per day; half day program (9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., for pre k and kindergarten only,) $35 per day.

During Plant Defender-themed camp at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, kids ages 5 to 12 will explore, investigate, and learn to protect the natural environment. Students will investigate the environment through experiments, games, and hands-on activities – even planning and implementing a conservation project at the Arboretum.

Price: Full day camp (9 a.m. -3 p.m.), $365 for 5 days; half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m., for ages 5 and 6 only), $200 for 5 days.

Philadelphia’s Rock Gym Climbing Camp is a great way for kids age 4 and up to avoid any lingering winter chill. Kids will learn bouldering and top rope skills while scaling various climbing walls.

Price: Full day camp (9 a.m. – 3 p.m., snack and pizza lunch included), $310 for 5 days; half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.), $180.

Kids ages 4 and up with have a blast at Going Bananas Camp at Flip Dunk Sports. Campers will enjoy a variety of activities at the trampoline and gymnastics space, including rope swing, scooter races, obstacle courses, jump, parachute games, and much more!

Price: Full day camp (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), $60 per day; half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.), $40 per day.

During Spring Break Sewing Camp at Abby’s Attic, kids age 8 to 16 will learn to use a sewing machine and sewing skills including how to wind a bobbin, change a needle, thread a machine, sew a straight seam allowance, cut, measure, and more!

Price: Full day camp (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.), $279 for 5 days; half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.), $239 for 5 days. Materials and snacks included.

At Fantastic Magic Camp kids ages 5 to 12 years old will learn magic, puppets, and juggling! Campers will also get the chance to work with stilts and unicycles. The camp is known for their special magical performances that include some of the best magicians, jugglers, and ventriloquists in Texas!

Price: Full day (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), $325 for 5 days.

During the Spring Break LEGO Exploration Camp kids will create battery-powered LEGO creations. They will learn how to create movement with gears and wheels and how to give life to creations with battery packs and motors. Students will not only practice using technology and engineering skills but will also use their creativity to complete fun activities! Camps are available in Milpitas, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, and Redwood City.

Price: Full day camp (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.), $589 for 5 days; half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.), $489 for 5 days. Prices vary by location.

Over at JAX Cooking Studio, kids ages 6 and up can have fun cooking up delicious food from scratch. Each day, kids whip up a different delicious food, including ravioli, street tacos, and cupcakes, in a hands-on environment. Plus, they eat the food they make during class, so the kids never leave hungry! Do note that you book each day’s session separately.

Price: Half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.), $60 per session.

Kindergarten through sixth graders will have a blast during Spring Break Camp at Zenger Farms, where they will check in on farm animals, hunt for bugs, explore wetlands, and create farm-fresh food! The camp also offers sliding scale pricing so all kids can enjoy.

Price: Full day camp (8:45 a.m. – 3 p.m.), $65 per day

Learn to horseback ride at Happy Trails Farm where campers will learn how to mount, dismount, and control their horse. Besides horseback riding, the camp also offers arts and crafts, swimming, playground, hiking, basketball, and horseshoes.

Price: Full day camp (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), $335 per week.

This New Jersey Skate Camp offers a unique experience for kids of all ages who are interested in skating. In addition to skating, campers will enjoy sleigh rides, relays, ice painting, and laser lights in addition to a one-hour ice lesson each day.

Price: Half day camp (9:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.), $170 per week.
Dates: April 6 – 10

Kids ages 5 to 17 years old attending Spring Surf Camp will gain experience in surfing basics, surfing etiquette, wave selection, and ocean safety. Daily lessons will include reading and catching waves, currents and wind types, and surfing tricks and maneuvers.

Price: Full day camp (9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), $664 per week; half day camp (9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.), $349 per week. Cost includes surf board, wetsuit, and snacks.
Dates: March 18 – April 22

Why not learn guitar or join a rock band during Spring Break? At the NYC Guitar School, kids ages 8 – 16 years old can join either a rock band or a beginner guitar boot camp, plus get a class in digital music/songwriting. And kids get to showoff their talents all during a performance on the final Friday!

Price: Fully day camp (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), $475 for 5 days.
Dates: April 13 – 17

During Junior Golf Camps at the Oak Marr Golf Complex, kids age 8 to 17 will learn putting, chipping, irons, woods, sand play, rules, etiquette, and course management. Loaner clubs are included! All campers will receive a diploma, snacks, water bottle, t-shirt, and a hat.
