The Last of Us Part 1 Is Finally Coming to PC, and Soon!
Years after its first release and months after the release of the PS5 remake, “The Last of Us Part 1” is finally coming to PC on March 4, 2023. Pre-orders are now live on Steam and the Epic Game Store, and will set you back $94.95.
“I’m so excited for new players to journey across America with Joel and Ellie. Not only will they get to experience this beloved story for the first time, but they’ll be playing a game that takes full advantage of modern hardware and incorporates many of the features and improvements we’ve made in the decade since the game was originally released,” said Matthew Gallant, “The Last of Us Part 1” game director.
In a ravaged civilisation, where infected and hardened survivors run rampant, Joel, a weary protagonist, is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie out of a military quarantine zone. However, what starts as a small job soon transforms into a brutal cross-country journey.
The PS5 remake added lots of graphical improvements and even more accessibility features and options, which the PC version will no doubt add to even further. Sony has a great track record with bringing its PS5 exclusives to PC — just look at Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
Pre-purchasing on PC will get you bonus supplements and weapon parts to upgrade your gear in-game
A March release date will mean it comes to PC while the HBO show is still airing, which is pretty perfect timing.
The PC reveal trailer premiered at the Game Awards and now it’s out in the wild for everyone to watch. Although we can’t help but notice the footage is captured on PS5 and not PC, it still looks amazing.
Keep an eye on this page as we get closer to launch for more information about PC version’s features and system requirements.
