MultiVersus Is Now Free to Play On PlayStation, Xbox and PC
After an early access period last week, the MultiVersus beta is finally open for everyone. The Smash Bros. clone pits iconic Warner Bros. characters against each other, resulting in a wild game where Shaggy and Velma from Scooby Doo duel Batman and Bugs Bunny. It’s a bizarre combination, but first impressions all agree that it’s a lot of fun.
For Nintendo fans, MultiVersus will feel immediately familiar. You choose from a roster of fighters, each with their own character class and special move set, and try to knock your opponents off a floating platform. The more damage you deal to them, the further back they’re knocked and the greater chance you have of eliminating them.
But MultiVersus has added a few tricks to the formula, starting with a 2v2 mode where two duo teams battle together. It also supports cross-platform play, meaning people on PC, PlayStation and Xbox can play together.
How to Play the MultiVersus Beta:
The MultiVersus open beta is officially live and free to play. There’s no sign up necessary — simply download the game on your platform of choice.
- Download MultiVersus on Steam
- Download MultiVersus on Epic Games
- Download MultiVersus on PlayStation
- Download MultiVersus on Xbox
Since MultiVersus supports cross-play, it doesn’t matter which version you download — you’ll still be able to play with your friends on their preferred platform.
