Zendaya’s Second Outfit at the NAACP Image Awards Was Inspired by a 1993 Prada Look

Zendaya stepped out at the NAACP Image Awards for her first red carpet appearance of 2023 — and we were not disappointed.

Styled by her friend and stylist Law Roach, Zendaya wore two archival looks. The first, a green and black Atelier Versace SS02.

The second, a white twin-set, was a custom Prada look based on a moment from their SS93 collection.

Zendaya-fying the archived ’93 design, Prada has taken what used to be high-waisted flares, and re-imagined them into a high-waisted maxi pencil skirt.

The crop has remained almost identical to the 1993 original, but slightly more minimal — minus the metallic silver trimming.

The overall look is giving Old Hollywood — thanks to Zendaya’s hair and simple make-up — with a touch of fun vintage.

We love that Zendaya’s red carpet fashion moments always have a story. She always shows up in something unique, something never-been-done, something unexpected.
