The most colourful time of year — Pride Month — is almost upon us. And, with Sydney WorldPride taking place between Friday, February 17 – Sunday, March 5 this year, it’s well and truly time to get into celebration mode.
One of the most important elements of Pride is supporting the brand collaborations that occur all throughout Pride season. Because after all, celebrating LGBTQIA+ voices, stories, creators, and talent is what Pride is all about. By supporting the brands that support queer stories, you’re engaging in an important conversation.
Below are our favourite fashion Pride collaborations that have been released so far. We’ll continue to add to this article as new Pride collabs launch.
Champion ‘THE GAME IS NOT OVER’ Collection
A major sponsor of Queer Sporting Alliance (QSA) since 2021, Champion delivers ongoing funding and uniforms for clubs nationwide. But it also releases a pride campaign each year for Pride Month.
This year, in 2023, the campaign is called “THE GAME IS NOT OVER”. Not only does the campaign encompass a collection of pride-inspired designs — like this Heritage Pride Stripe tee ($48.74) — but it also features a powerful short film and stills by LGBTIQA+ activist and director, James J. Robinson and a Ba-skate-ball Jam on 23 February 2023 as a part of Sydney WorldPride.
Quay x Pride
Wear your Quay sunglasses with pride this 2023, with Quay’s Pride collaboration collection.
Nala World Pride Underwear Collection
Celebrate diversity down to your undies with these intimates from Nala.
The brand’s partnered with Sydney-based artist Kim Leutwyler to create a colourful and gender-diverse underwear collection for WorldPride. The styles are among the first in Australia to specifically cater to trans community.
The collection’s colourful, comfortable and stylish. Our fave picks? The Pride High Waist Brief ($25), The Pride Tuck Brief ($25) and The Pride Scoop Crop ($49).
10 per cent of sales from the Pride Collection will be donated to The Equality Project, a group that supports LGBTQIA+ communities.
THE ICONIC’s Louder Now edit
THE ICONIC’s Louder Now edit, compiled for WorldPride, is all you’ll need in one place.
Including pride collabs from brands like Levi’s, the edit also champions gender neutral and unisex designs from brands like these Classic Unisex Crocs ($69.99).
Then, there are pieces that are just seriously fab to wear to pride. They’re colourful, bold, metallic. You know, just fab. Items like these Wilder metallic hot pink cowboy boots ($99.95) and this Neuw Basquiat Shirt 6 ($129.95).
Double Colourful Rugs
Okay, this isn’t technically fashion, but it’s aesthetic. Fashion for your house, perhaps.
Australian washable rug brand Double is celebrating the bright, bold, beautiful LGBTQIA+ community this month by donating all of its profits on Mardi Gras Parade Day (February 25) to Pride Foundation Australia.
We personally love this Picnic Lime Chenille Rug ($440) and this Novel Olive Cotton Pile Rug ($630).
Calvin Klein's 'This Is Love'
Calvin Klein’s ‘This is Love’ collection for Pride 2023 — including this cute AF Slogan Double Layer Pride Slim Fit Tee ($89.95) — includes a range of different t-shirt designs with the Pride-inspired slogan.
