Miley Cyrus can take herself dancing in style. On Jan. 26, the singer celebrated her latest single, “Flowers,” topping the charts in a vintage, plunging black minidress from Tom Ford’s 1996 spring collection for Gucci. Cyrus was surrounded by her family and friends at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel for the party. She put an edgy twist on the classic LBD. The long-sleeved minidress featured bell sleeves and a plunging neckline, accented by a clasp across her chest. She paired it with sheer, black tights and knee-high black boots.
“Celebrating ‘Flowers’ being #1 around the world again this week! I love that this record is connecting in such a positive way & it’s a pleasure to continue creating music for you. These milestones are only made possible by the listeners & my incredible fans. Endlessly thankful,” Cyrus captioned her Instagram post on Jan. 30, following her mom’s post from the event, honoring Cyrus’s hit song.
“Flowers” is the first single off of Cyrus’s upcoming album, “Endless Summer Vacation,” set to release on March 10, and it is setting the bar high for the singer’s eighth studio album. In the music video for the single, Cyrus wears a plethora of fabulous designer outfits – including a vintage dress from YSL’s fall 1991 collection and a one-piece swimsuit, which was also designed by Tom Ford for Gucci in the late ’90s. Now, she’s celebrating the success of “Flowers” in this low-cut Gucci dress.
“Flowers” is filled with hidden messages about her past relationships, but there’s nothing hidden about her love for vintage fashion. Even when she’s rocking something understated, Cyrus knows how to get our attention.
