We have been used to seeing her in Barbie-inspired fuchsia pink, but Margot Robbie opted for a change of sartorial pace on 18 Sept as the actor attended the premiere of her latest film, “Amsterdam“, in New York. Wearing a strapless white gown by Chanel, her look would not look out of place at any wedding party.
Robbie’s elegant look was straight from the Chanel Resort 2023 collection and features a strapless layered bustier teamed with a tiered lace maxi skirt. Keeping the look fuss-free, she kept her décolletage clear from jewellery and added an ear cuff and rings for accessories. Her fresh makeup was kept natural with peachy blush and lips, while her blonde hair was styled in beachy waves.
Robbie hit the carpet alongside costars Andrea Riseborough and Rami Malek to promote the crime drama, which also stars Taylor Swift and Christian Bale and is released in cinemas on 7 Oct. Later in the evening, Robbie changed into a more casual look for the premiere party and proved how versatile her bridal-inspired ensemble could be. Swapping the lace skirt for a pair of relaxed-fit jeans, the Australian actor paired her denim with the strapless crop top of her Chanel outfit. Robbie was later pictured partying with Drake, who posted snaps from the star-studded event on his Instagram.
While she proved that bridal gowns aren’t just for weddings, Robbie has been heading up the recent Barbiecore trend thanks to her role as the titular character in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming “Barbie” film. She has made a case for the fuchsia-pink hue and patterned lycra outfits while filming alongside Ryan Gosling, who plays Ken in the movie. Could Barbiecore be making way for bridalcore?
