If you’re wondering why Western-inspired outfits have been taking over the red carpet over the past year, you can thank Lil Nas X. The enigmatic singer has been crushing one cowboy chic look after look since breaking into the music scene in 2018 through TikTok with his song “Old Town Road,” which features Billy Ray Cyrus. He was nominated for multiple VMA awards and won for song of the year thanks to his blockbuster hit. The 20-year-old has made his mark with his bold, bedazzled suits which are often paired with colorful cowboy boots and hats. At the 2019 Grammys, he wore a leather Barbie pink Versace suit, complete with a buckled leather harness and two silk scarfs tied around his wrists, and he later went on stage to perform his song in a silver sequined suit.

Lil Nas X’s Instagram account is also full of amazing outfits including everything from a pink fuzzy puffer to a lime green jacket styled with a Rick and Morty t-shirt.
