Kendall Jenner has re-affirmed her love for Australian-based label St Agni by wearing the brand to none other than a pre-party for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held in Indio, California.
Yep, while promoting her tequila brand 818, the model-turned-entrepreneur said no to the usual festival-ready suede fringing and boho lace. Instead, she opted for a minimalist, all-black look, achieved with a black tank top with cut-outs and black trousers with a low waist and frayed hemline. Jenner also said nup to festival-ready cowboy boots or wellies, instead wearing leather criss-cross strap sandals with a loop around the big toe. The brand? They’re also by St Agni.
“A few years ago, we were thrilled to see an email sitting in our inbox from Kendall Jenner’s stylist, Dani Michelle,” says St Agni’s Co-founder and Creative Director, Lara Fells. “We ended up working with Dani a number of times, sending looks for Kendall. We were so pleased to see her incorporating many of our apparel and leather accessories into her wardrobe over the years. Last year, she was spotted in one of our woven bags, which has since been sold out.”
The way the Coachella outfit came about, says Fells, is that the brand had samples from their upcoming collection arrive earlier than anticipated. Since Jenner was a long-time wearer of the brand, she was the first person they offered them to. The brand’s PR team on the ground in New York City helped facilitate the dressing.
“One week later, Kendall was already wearing the upcoming styles,” says Fells. “The pieces officially launch in June.”
Fells says Jenner is the quintessential St Agni customer as she has the ability to easily switch between minimal, everyday dressing and more elevated styles. Jenner wears quality basics that allude quiet confidence, she says.
“It’s always so special to see Kendall wearing our leather accessories, in particular, as this is part of our brand’s DNA and has been such a core across our collections over the years,” says Fells. “We proudly work with skilled artisans around the world to bring these leather pieces to life.”
Side note: could this be the start of minimalist festival dressing? If so, it’ll certainly be a new era, indeed.
While we’ll have to wait patiently until June ’til the new St Agni collection with Jenner’s pieces included in it launches, in the meantime, scroll down to shop some of our favourite other St Agni pieces, all on sale on The Iconic.
