This is a surprisingly bold look from the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate Middleton, along with husband Prince William, attended a reception at Buckingham Palace in honor of the UK-Africa investment summit on Monday, Jan. 20. Kate went full tonal in a head-to-toe festive red look, with an affordable dress by midrange British designer Needle & Thread.
Kate’s Needle & Thread red sequin Aurora gown ($599) is from the brand’s new pre-Spring 2020 collection. Available in sizes 0 to 14, the gown comes in five colors (cherry red, ballet black, graphite silver, dusk blue, and vintage blossom). The duchess wore the floor-length version, but the dress also comes in a mini length ($519).
Kate completed her red tonal look with a Jenny Packham Casa clutch, Gianvito Rossi Gianvito 105 red suede pumps ($695), and ruby earrings from Soru jewelry ($186) that are available for preorder.
