Kate Middleton is great at pairing modest dresses with youthful accessories. For her most recent appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge attended a special performance of Dear Evan Hansen at London’s Noel Coward Theatre. She went for glittering accessories that dressed up her modest tweed midi dress.
Kate’s black bouclé midi dress is a bespoke design from London brand Eponine’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection. It features three-quarter sleeves, a pointed collar, pleated skirt, and silver crystal buttons. She paired the demure LBD with Jimmy Choo Romy 100 silver glitter pumps ($725) and a Jimmy Choo Ellipse clutch ($895). Kate completed the look with the queen’s chandelier diamond earrings and her blue sapphire engagement ring that once belonged to Princess Diana.
Dear Evan Hansen is about a young boy with social anxiety disorder who struggles to connect with his peers in a hyperconnected world. Kate attended this charity performance in aid of The Royal Foundation’s support of positive mental health initiatives in the UK. “The musical Dear Evan Hansen has been credited with helping to start important conversations about mental health between parents and teenagers,” tweeted Kensington Royal. “The issue of mental health is a key priority for The Royal Foundation.” Ahead, take a closer look at Kate’s evening look for the theater.
