Dua Lipa Pirouettes in a Backless “Frock” and Knee-High Boots

Dua Lipa is making the case for backless dresses with her latest outing. On March 14, the “Levitating” singer wore a black Khaite Dasa Crepe Midi Dress while attending the inauguration of Texas’s first Albanian language school. “The center promotes Albanian culture, art and music while offering language classes for 5-15 year olds ❤️,” wrote Dua, whose parents are Kosovo Albanian, on her Instagram Stories.

At first glance, the dress is formal but chic, with the asymmetrical hemline hitting just above her ankles. But a quick pirouette in her New Bottega Lug Leather Knee-high Boots revealed a strappy criss-cross design that beautifully elevated the simple silhouette. “i like dancing in my new frock,” she captioned a video of herself twirling in the backless dress. Dua’s stylist, Lorenzo Posocco, paired the look with an Eéra Tokyo 18-karat and Pavé Diamond Mono Earring and Bare by Dries Brute Diamanti Earrings.

Dua’s outfit makes her look like a grunge ballerina ready to take the stage, and we’d happily attend that show any day. Take a 360-degree look at Dua’s dress here.
