As heavily documented, I’m hoarder-level obsessed with vintage and second-hand bargains. I’m blessed and cursed with a knack for finding designer pieces and one-off creations at local Vinnies, markets, and vintage boutiques. The only issue? My #passionforfashion means my closet overfloweth, and despite my enormous wardrobe, I usually have a hard time locating, let alone choosing, an outfit in the morning.
But with the launch of a new online shopping platform, I can continue my hoarding habits while feeling good about myself and keeping my floordrobe in check.
What Is Dress For Dignity?
Dress for Dignity is an offshoot of the charity Share the Dignity, which supplies hundreds of thousands of period products annually to women in need and helped axe the tampon tax in 2018.
The beauty of selling through Dress for Dignity is you can select the percentage of proceeds from your sale that will go to charity. It will support women, girls, and people who menstruate who are experiencing homelessness and period poverty.
The platform is based on a simple concept: you send clothes in snatched condition that you no longer wear, and other people shop them.
Basically? It’s a great way to participate in circular fashion while feeling and doing good.

How Does Dress For Dignity Work?
Dress for Dignity has a very easy-to-follow system, and I’ve linked the instructions here.
Essentially, if you want to sell some pre-loved items, you create an account, upload some images, set your price, and flag whether you’re open to mailing or local collection.
Shopping is even easier! First, create your account. Then you can filter by size, colour, and even brand, along with whether you want your item shipped out or you’re willing to pick it up yourself.
With logistics out of the way, here are my top picks from Dress for Dignity.
What Should You Shop From Dress For Dignity? Let Me, a Thrifting Queen, Help You Out
Hello Molly, After Dark Hour Dress
She’s serving prairie-core! This powder blue number from Hello Molly ($30) with a cross stitched back is a masterclass in nailing a puff sleeve moment. Wear it after hours or to your gram-worthy picnic.
Sportscraft, Jane Silk Cotton Dress
We love a wrap dress, and the Jane Silk Cotton Dress from Sportscraft ($150) is a perfect example of the versatility of this style. The silk cotton blend feels stunning against the skin, and it’s a trans-seasonal piece that can be paired with boots and a turtleneck underneath or tossed on in summer with sandals or clogs. It’s sold out in stores everywhere, so this is a brilliant find.
Nicci, Formal Dress
Sexy and sweet, the strapless Nicci, Formal Dress ($30) features a structured bra and a ribbon belt that will cinch your waist to perfection. The eyelet trim and knee-length flared skirt adds whimsy to this Monro-esque number.
Wayne by Wayne Cooper, Purple Strappy Dress
This Wayne by Wayne Cooper dress ($30) has true Y2K-meets-“White Lotus” Season 1 energy. The swishy, silky number has adjustable straps that offer a flexible fit. Just looking at it makes me feel like I’m on a Euro-summer vacation (I’m not). Belt it, leave it loose, dress it up with heels, or play it cool with slides and serve Big Amalfi Coast vibes.
CupShe, Spotlight Leopard Print Belted Satin Dress
I love the soft drape of a cowl-necked gown — it gives a relaxed, elegant feel to longer dresses and always makes me feel like I should be reclining on a chaise lounge, which is usually how I want to feel.
This glam number from CupShe ($30) can be paired with flats and a giant handbag to channel your inner Paris Hilton on vacation in Ibiza, or paired with heels and drop earrings for a formal occasion. Either way, this is a versatile bargain.
