Although Chloë Sevigny married art dealer Siniša Mačković in March 2020 when she was pregnant with their child, the happy couple enjoyed an official celebration in Darien, CT, this past weekend. For the star-packed occasion (from longtime friend and collaborator Humberto Leon to “Russian Doll” costar Natasha Lyonne), Sevigny wore a Jean Paul Gaultier Couture by Glenn Martens gown. The dress (look eight from the spring 2022 couture collection) was an ethereal, white sheer tendrilled chiffon dress, gathered down the bodice and skirt, complete with a voluminous organza hood at the shoulders – that also doubled as a veil.
The actress, who recently starred in “The Girl From Plainville,” styled the gown over a white, lace-embroidered slip. She accented the gown wearing delicate diamond drop earrings with her hair slicked back in a low bun, allowing the dress to shine. Her bouquet of calla lilies, tied with a silk ribbon in a light rose shade, complemented her pointed-toe shoes.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Sevigny had a bachelorette with close friends, sporting a lacy Maison Margiela set with knee-high stocking boots, seemingly teasing the aesthetic that was to come. Following her statement Jean Paul Gaultier gown, the fashion aesthete changed into a second bridal look at the reception: an off-the-shoulder ivory design with a lace bustier paired with white flowers pinned in her hair. When she officially tied the knot back in March 2020, Sevingy wore a fitted black dress, tights, leather boots, and a white veil, showcasing her unconventional sense of fashion that has long been celebrated in Hollywood and the respective fashion industry.
