When I was a teenager, I wanted nothing more than to have big, perky boobs.
But, when puberty finally hit me — at a late 17 years old — I started to realise that having boobs would require a whole new mindset when it comes to fashion.
I no longer could go braless whenever I wanted and the clothes would still fit just right. I also could no longer could I wear big cut-outs across my torso, super cropped-crop tops or plunging necklines. The styles I’d been wearing for so long — and had gotten used to seeing myself in — no longer looked right.
I remember trying some double-sided boob tape once, before a night out. I really wanted to wear this sequined mini dress that had a plunging V-neck, but it wasn’t sitting right. Every time I’d move, my boobs would basically fall out.
The tape lasted for a grand total of half an hour, but then it just stopped sticking. Whether it wasn’t reacting well to my boob sweat, or the weight of my double D’s were just too heavy for it to handle — it did not have the desired effect. I ended up peeling it off and getting changed — begrudgingly. I felt ostracised. How come boob tape seemed to work for every other girl, but not for me? My boobs never sat the way I wanted them to.
Since then, I hadn’t gone back to boob tape. I didn’t want to be disappointed again. I really didn’t want to feel the way I used to — that my body just wasn’t meant for mainstream products.
But then I found Boobyful Aid.
My algorithms must’ve picked up on my vibes — maybe the cut-out dresses I’ve been eyeing off had something to do with it — but videos for applying boob tape to big boobs kept popping up on my TikTok.
Girls with boobs bigger than mine were applying boob tape in a way I hadn’t seen. And not only did it seem to stay, but their boobs looked fireeee. So, when I was offered the chance to to try the brand’s nude boob tape ($19.95), I obviously jumped at the opportunity.
Using the above TikTok video as a guide, I taped my boobs to the perk-level I wanted, using three bits of tape on each boob.
Let me tell you, I was immediately delighted and relieved. I expected — due to past experience — that the boob tape would fall off immediately. But instead, it stretched with my skin and moulded to my body.
It was super easy to apply. After the first piece of tape, I knew they were going to stay and be secure and perky. I’ve genuinely never experienced such a fulfilling experience with boob tape.
Once I was happy with the shape and perkiness, I tried a dress on over the top. I tested the boob tape out underneath one of my favourite vintage dresses that I couldn’t ever wear a bra underneath. This dress has a super high-up bust, and I never get the desired cleavage without being able to see bra poking through.
Low and behold, this boob tape has totally changed that.
Not only can you not tell it’s there, but my boob looks perky and secure, with the perfect amount of cleavage coming through the top.
So, if you’re a big-busted babe like me, and have some outfits that could use a bit of an extra lift in the breast department, then look no further than this magic boob tape. I’ve popped all the shoppable details below.
