It’s more important than ever to support Aussie brands. And as we will winter away and plan for the warmer months, we have the perfect opportunity to shop local for sustainable and cute swimwear.

If we were ever going to splurge on a new set of bathers, surely it’s the summer of 2022. After perhaps the coldest winter in years, a beach party complete with Vitamin D, cute babes and even cuter bathers sounds like an absolute treat.

Though with so many great Australian brands out there, it can tricky to even know where to start when looking for new cossies. So, to take some of the work out of it for you, we’ve pulled together our top 10 favourite Australian swimwear brands, all guaranteed to get you ready for the best summer ever.

Liandra Swim

Liandra Swim

Liandra Swim is an Indigenous-owned swimwear brand, that specialises in hand-drawn prints inspired by our aboriginal culture and designed in-house.

Each print has a story, that is explicitly linked to the collection theme. Their latest swimwear collection, titled “Deep Sea“, is ocean-inspired, with all reversible designs made from eco-friendly materials.

This Cathy One-Piece ($280) is named after Cathy Freeman, as the silhouette was inspired by her 2000 Olympics gold medal winning one-piece bodysuit. In other words: iconic.

Andie Swim

Andie Swim

Andie Swim is an Australian swimwear brand with a focus on sustainability and finding the perfect fit.

They’re all about “just well-made, well-cut suits that look great, keep everything where it should be, and feel so comfortable — you’ll forget you’re wearing anything at all”. Sounds perfect to us.

We love bathers that boast a slightly different silhouette, like this Sorrento Top ($105) with it’s matching Hipster Bottoms ($85) — that also come in a high-waisted style.

Le Buns

LÉ BUNS

LÉ BUNS is an Australian eco-friendly underwear brand that focuses on comfort and sustainability, using luxe organic cotton in all its designs. And… they make gorge swimwear! They have a super flattering and timeless quality to their swimwear, like this Hadley Multi Way Halter Bikini Pant ($99) and it’s matching top ($119).

Sustainable and high-fashion, how much better does it get?

We love this Sienna One Piece ($189) in a very on-trend shade of olive green and flattering waistband with a sexy plunging neckline.

Peony

Peony Swimwear

Peony Swimwear is another incredible Australian brand with a focus on sustainability, and they’re out favourite when it comes to cute patterns and materials.
