Every year, the Australian Recording Industry Association Awards (ARIAs) celebrate the very best in music across the country. However, the night is also an opportunity to witness some incredible fashion moments.
The ARIA Awards red carpet is almost as anticipated as the ceremony itself. Artists from around the globe put on their best display, just in case they find themselves giving an acceptance speech later on.
This year, we’ve had big names grace the carpet, from Jessica Mauboy to Natalie Imbruglia, and you can tell their stylists have been hard at work piecing the perfect looks together.
Stars flocked to the Hordern Pavillion, Sydney, to enjoy music’s night of nights and to celebrate the achievements of those in the industry.
Rüfüs Du Sol has dominated the nominations this year, with their name popping up in seven categories, followed by Amyl and the Sniffers and Flume.
The band won best group and best dance song for their track “Alive” at last year’s awards, with the same song earning them a Grammy.
Rüfüs Du Sol is up for album of the year for their latest record Surrender, and their song “On My Knees” is nominated for best pop release.
Melbourne punk band Amyl and the Sniffers have received six nods and are competing with Rüfüs Du Sol for album of the year, best group and best rock album.
Flume, who has won 12 ARIA Awards so far, has also been nominated in six categories, while Baker Boy, Vance Joy and Kid LAROI each follow closely behind with five nominations.
But before we get into the ceremony itself, let’s take a look at the best moments from the ARIA Awards red carpet.
