It stands true that Lisa Todd Wexley — affectionately known at LTW — has got the best wardrobe on And Just Like That (sorry Carrie).
When it comes to fashion, she is the new Samantha; sporting bold, show-stopping looks each and every time she appeared in the show’s first season.
Thankfully, from what we’ve seen of the second season of And Just Like That so far, it seems producers aren’t slowing down LTW’s fashion game anytime soon.
Posting on Instagram this morning, quoting Selling Sunset‘s queen villain Christine Quinn, “Is that me? Am I the drama?”, Nicole Ari Parker — who plays LTW — can be seen in an extravagant custom Valentino gown.
Truly, we’ve never seen anything like it. It’s a Cruella de Vil meets Grace Kelly moment, and it’s beyond iconic.
A floor-length layered gown, with cascading crimson red chiffon and silk, the dress has scooped ’50s princess-style neckline and a dramatic, metres-long veil.
But the dress itself isn’t the only masterpiece. The headdress — usually a Carrie moment — is the definition of DRAMA, covering LTW’s face with dark boning and single red feathers to create a web-like bulb of red. It is truly something to behold.
All we can ask is, what occasion requires this level of artistry? We can’t wait to find out.
The official Instagram page of And Just Like That‘s stylists — Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago — followed up the show’s post with its own; showing the custom Valentino tag. “VALENTINO for And Just Like That“, it read. My heart literally skipped a beat imagining what it would be like to wear something that special, made especially for you.
Damn, Daddy MPK (Michael Patrick King, showrunner and creator of SATC and AJLT) must have some serious pull in the fashion industry. And, with a show as trend-setting as Sex and the City, that’s not all that surprising.
