Elmo's New Nighttime TV Show For Kids Will Feature the Jonas Brothers and More Guest Stars
Sesame Street’s favorite fuzzy red monster is getting his own TV show, and it’s made to make your little ones look forward to bedtime. The Not-Too-Late Show With Elmo will premiere on HBO Max on Wednesday, May 27 and will highlight different parts of kids’ bedtime routines, including putting on pajamas, reading stories, and transitioning from daytime to nighttime. With Cookie Monster as his sidekick and a house band to back them up, Elmo will invite kids to virtually play games, enjoy music, and have fun before bedtime.
The series will also feature a star-studded list of guests and special performers, including the Jonas Brothers, John Mulaney, Olivia Wilde, Lil Nas X, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., and Jonathan Van Ness. As a shout-out to his fellow late-night hosts, Elmo will also welcome Jimmy Fallon, Hoda Kotb, John Oliver, and Andy Cohen to give their expert hosting advice.
“When families cuddle, laugh, and engage with each other, these bonding moments provide invaluable opportunities to foster social emotional skills,” said Sesame Workshop spokesperson Dr. Rosemarie Truglio. “It’s that kind of connection we hope to create with The Not-Too-Late Show.”
