Zendaya was feeling the love at Coachella on Saturday night. The “Euphoria” star‘s surprise appearance during Labrinth’s set marked her first live performance in over seven years. The significance of the moment wasn’t lost on Zendaya either. After the show, she told her fans how grateful she was for all of their support in an Instagram Story.
“I cannot express my gratitude enough for this magical night,” she wrote. “Thank you to my brother @labrinth for inviting me and giving me the most beautiful safe space to be on a stage again. And to the crowd tonight…wow…my heart is so full, I can’t thank you enough for the love I received tonight, made all my nerves melt away, I’m so grateful.”
Zendaya surprised fans when she joined Labrinth on stage to perform her Emmy-nominated song “I’m Tired” from season two of “Euphoria,” as well as “All of Us,” which was featured at the end the HBO show’s first season. The moment the 26-year-old stepped out on the stage the crowd went wild. In a second Instagram Story, she revealed all she could hear was the audience’s screams.
“I just want to say thank you to that gorgeous crowd,” she said. “I have never heard screaming like that in my entire life. As soon as I turned the corner, I couldn’t hear anything. I couldn’t hear anything but you guys, so I’m sorry, I don’t know what happened, I don’t know what I sounded like, but I just was just like, ‘You know what? I’m just going to have fun.'”
The Disney alum was once a rising pop star, but in March 2022, she shared why she ultimately decided to step away from the music world. “I stepped away from music quite a while ago, for a number of reasons, but I still really love it, so the kindness and support I’ve received the past few days just for a little tiny toe dip back into some music means the absolute world to me..thanks,” she tweeted.
