Will Smith is one proud dad. On Sunday, Willow Smith, 22, performed at the Mojave tent during Coachella’s 2023 music festival, and her dad made sure he was in the audience cheering her on. The 54-year-old actor posted a video of himself taking in his daughter’s performance on Instagram on Monday, captioning it, “WILLOWCHELLA!!” To make matters more exciting, at one point, Willow’s older brother, Jaden Smith, 24, even joined her on stage to perform their duet “Summertime in Paris.”
Willow released her fifth studio album, “Coping Mechanism,” in October 2022. Willow previously admitted that she initially received pushback from executives for wanting to release a rock album. She recalled to Glamour UK, “When I wanted to do a rock album, there were a lot of executives that were like, ‘Hmm’ . . . If I had been white, it would’ve been completely fine; but because I’m Black it’s, ‘Well… maybe let’s just not’ – and making it harder than it needs to be. If I go through that, every single other Black artist is getting the pushback [too].”

Willow is set to hit the Coachella stage again during weekend two of the festival on April 23. Perhaps this time her dad will join her on stage? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
