Love Island Australia has officially kicked off, and we’re completely hooked.
This year, the Islanders have travelled across the seas to Mallorca, Spain, a welcome change from last year’s Byron Bay filming location.
With the pandemic (mostly) behind us, international borders have opened and the world is ready to accept tourists once again, and there truly is no better place to fall in love than Spain. There’s just something about the warm rays of the sun and the crystal clear skies that makes you want to settle down and live happily ever after.
While the Love Island Australia villa seems like a great time (despite the heartbreak and mind games), it is a competition at the end of the day.
The contestants are not only looking for love, but they’re also hoping to take home $50,000, which is why every day, someone will face elimination.
Soon, there will only be one couple left standing, and Australia will vote on who that pair will be.
The winning duo has the option of either splitting the prize money or keeping the whole amount for themselves, which would probably end up jeopardising their relationship.
It’s a tough world out there.
Look, it’s never happened before, but if someone does decide to take home the entire $50k, we wouldn’t judge. Inflation is a serious issue these days.
