Chingy
Though Tiffany and Chingy were never an official couple, the two did have a brief fling – at least, according to Tiffany. During an October 2019 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen asked Tiffany whether she’d ever dated a celebrity “that the world doesn’t know about.” Her response: “Chingy. I mean, it was a hook-up. That was the early 2000s, I don’t even know if that counts anymore.”
Later, in an Instagram comment on a since-deleted post from a fan account, Chingy reportedly claimed that Tiffany used to hook up with his brother, even though she was crushing on Chingy. “Hey if we gone be honest let’s be honest,” he said. Tiffany reportedly clapped back, saying she only hooked up with Chingy “once like two months after [they] met.” According to Tiffany, it was only after she found out that Chingy was hooking up with one of her friends that she decided to “back off” and hook up with Chingy’s brother instead. “Boy I been talking about hooking up with you for years, why are you just now denying it?” she added. Chingy never responded to her claims about their relationship.
William Stewart
Though little is known about Tiffany’s ex-husband William Stewart, it definitely sounds like his relationship with Tiffany is a contentious one. According to Tiffany’s 2017 memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, she and the army vet were married and divorced not just once, but twice. Their first marriage lasted from 2008 to 2011, and while it’s unclear when they married again, Tiffany claims that they divorced for a second time in 2013. In the book, Tiffany also detailed the abuse she reportedly suffered at the hands of William during their relationship.
After the memoir was released, William sued Tiffany for defamation and denied all the claims made by Tiffany, according to TMZ. The trial was initially set for April 20, 2020, but no update has been given on the case, which may have been rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Common
After months of dating rumors, Tiffany finally confirmed her relationship with Common during a July 2020 appearance on the Wild Ride With Steve-O podcast. “I am in a relationship,” the comedian revealed. Apparently, the couple met on the set of 2019’s The Kitchen, in which Tiffany plays the widow of a mobster and Common plays an FBI agent. “He was, I guess, kind of like my love interest,” she added. “I made out with him in the movie and we became friends, but it wasn’t anything sexual.”
Later, in April 2020, Bumble invited Tiffany to participate in a virtual dating campaign for Bumble Video Chat, and she asked Common out on a virtual date. “At this point, our friendship was getting a little more than friendship, but not quite,” she explained to Steve-O during her podcast appearance. Sparks flew, and after more virtual dates, the two decided to quarantine together. Relationship rumors picked up speed after Tiffany and Common made a joint appearance on an Instagram Live chat with Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, but it wasn’t until July 2020 that fans knew their status for sure. “This is hands-down the best relationship I’ve ever been in,” Tiffany gushed to Steve-O.
Common also opened up about the new relationship during an August 2020 appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan. “She’s a wonderful woman, a queen, and just a beautiful person,” he said. “I care for her a lot, enjoy her and am grateful to have her in my life. Yeah, I’m happy!” And we’re happy for you two!
