It goes without saying that Milo Ventimiglia is a huge star considering he portrayed some of our favorite heartthrobs onscreen. From his early roles as Jess Mariano in “Gilmore Girls” and Peter Petrelli in “Heroes,” to his most recent ones as Jack Pearson in “This Is Us” and Charlie Nicoletti in “The Company You Keep,” Ventimiglia has never had any problem acting out romance on screen. He’s a bit more reserved with his personal life, however.
The 45-year-old actor usually shies away from talking about his love life publicly, and he told People why in a 2017 interview, explaining, “I try to minimize myself so people can see the character and can really dive into the work.”
Still, Ventimiglia has had a few (and we mean very few) high-profile romances over the years. Like many other celebrities before him, he’s mixed business with pleasure on two occasions by falling for his costars, resulting in relationships that sparked tons of fan and media attention that shaped his current views on dating costars. Ahead, see Ventimiglia’s short but sweet dating history.

Despite their 12-year age difference (and the fact that she played his niece onscreen), Ventimiglia struck up a highly buzzed-about romance with his “Heroes” costar in 2007. However, they split up nearly two years later due to their “very different lifestyles,” according to People.
In a 2017 interview with Mr. Porter, Ventimiglia admitted that while he “wouldn’t change a thing” about dating Panettiere, he “would never do it again,” and by it, he meant dating costars. “There are things that happen to you in your life that shape who you are. Everything I’ve been through from jobs to friendships to partnerships, everything has built me to who I am,” adding, “You learn from it. You learn a better way of doing things. It wasn’t until my mid to late 20s that the job wears on you, relationships wear on you.”

The actor seemingly started dating the marketing coordinator in late 2016, at which point they were spotted holding hands during a lunch date in Venice Beach, CA, that December (pictured above). The pair were extremely private about their relationship, so it’s unclear if they’re still together in 2023 or not. Considering they were last seen together attending the Emmys in September 2017, either they’ve gone their separate ways, or this pair has taken being a private couple to a whole new level.
