The MTV Video Music Awards are only a few days away and, after adjusting the show last year to meet COVID safety requirements, it will be going back to its original format and airing live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn.
Stars such as Billie Eilish, Travis Barker and 50 Cent are set to make an appearance, alongside host Doja Cat.
This year, MTV has decided to make a few changes, one of which is the VMAs moonperson trophies that we all know and love. The award has undergone a redesign by artist Kehinde Wiley.
The network is also partnering with 9/11 Day, a nonprofit, to help honour those who lost their lives or loved ones during the 2001 attack.
But it wouldn’t be the VMAs without live performances, and this year, MTV has delivered.
Promised to be its best show yet, some of the singers set to take the stage are Olivia Rodrigo, Kacey Musgraves, Justin Bieber and Lil Nas X.
This year, the legendary Foo Fighters will receive the first-ever MTV VMAs Global Icon Award, followed by a performance, marking their return to the VMAs stage since 2007.
We can hardly wait for the show to take place, but we know what you’re thinking: “Where can I watch it?”
We’ve got you covered. The MTV Video Music Awards premieres live on Monday, September 13 at 8.30am on MTV.
So, you’re going to have to get up early if you want to catch all the action, but we’re sure it will be totally worth it.
